Buy a Package containing 2 or 3 HiTemp UR Medical Sheepskins or HiTemp Pressure Smart XD Overlays. This way you can provide 24/7 protection; even when washing is necessary. Sheepskins should be used in both the bed and chair for best protection. BEDSORE  PREVENTION  PACKAGES= M104 and M104XD  We are now able to offer two kinds of Bedsore Prevention Packages: M104 = products are HiTemp UR Australian Medical Sheepskin = M102 + M103 + W103= Medical Green Colour M104XD= Products are Pressure Smart XD = M102XD + M103XD + W103 = Royal Blue Colour       M102                                                +      M103  or   M103XD   +        W103  M102 is the Australian HiTemp UR Medical Sheepskin. The natural shape, 30mm ( about 1.25") dense pile will protect the body from the shoulders to below the buttocks. Highest quality Medical Sheepskins are about 38" X 30". These are the only Medical Sheepskins available that are Urine Resistant; making them the only sheepskins suitable for incontinent clients. ( Please Note: If UR is not included on the label on the back of a Medical Sheepskin, it is not Urine Resistant and should not be used for incontinent clients ). Machine wash with  Woolskin to condition, disinfect and clean. M102XD is the HiTemp Overlay- Pressure Smart XD. The extremely dense pile ( up to 1900 g/m2 ) offers a new level of protection- not seen before. The rectangular Merino wool pad, which is FDA approved, is 26" x 39.5"= 65cm x 100cm. Machine wash and dry. M103 is a 12" X  26" strip of Australian HiTemp UR Medical Sheepskin with side flaps, that wrap around the mattress to keep it in place. This is usually used at the base of the bed to prevent heel pressure sores. The Medical Sheepskin strip allows for free foot movement and protection; at the same time- unlike Medical Sheepskin Heel Pads ( M112).  Machine wash with Woolskin. M103XD is the same as the M103; except that Pressure Smart XD is used instead of HiTemp UR Medical Sheepskin. W103 is Woolskin: Sheepskin Shampoo & Woolwash with Conditioner contains Tea Tree Oil; which has been shown to be effective against dust mites. Woolskin was developed by the tanning industry in Australia and is the best detergent available for the washing of sheepskin and natural fibre products.
